Satori in Range Brown
The Lapchi Collection consists of over 70 designs, inspired by textiles ranging from ancient Chinese paintings, 19th Century European fabrics, to 20th century art deco-inspired pieces.
Hand-crafted in the Kathmandu valley, each piece incorporates ancient weaving techniques using only the best of materials. The wool used comes from sheep on the Himalayan plateau, ensuring a lanolin-rich coat, with excellent wear- and dirt-resistant qualities. The wool is hand-washed in streams and air-dried, after which it is hand-carded to align the wool fibers, and then hand-spun.
The manual processes, while time-consuming, preserve the integrity of the wool and the lanolin content, ensuring that the carpet's pile acquires a beautiful lustre over time.
Available in 100 knot and 150 knot qualities, carpets can incorporate anywhere from 0 to 100% silk content, depending on the design and the specific needs.
While we do have a good selection of full-sized pieces to choose from in our showroom, Lapchi's specialty is custom-production. All designs are available to be made in a size to fit your space exactly, so that you no longer need to make do with a 'standard' size.
Each design is available in multiple colourways. In our showroom, we carry over 140 samples which you can borrow to match up with fabric, wall and floor colours.
If none of the existing colour-ways suit your specific need, we are able to match your colour requirements with Lapchi's Silk and Wool Poms, showing all 600 available colour choices.
We encourage you to visit our showroom to view our current selection of designs, which can be followed up with an in-home consultation to determine the ideal size and colour combination to suit your decor.
